The Effects of an Attitude of Gratitude

Have you ever heard somebody say “You should be grateful for…”? How did that feel? Was that an invitation to even consider shifting into an attitude of gratitude?

Growing up as a child, gratitude got a “bad rap” for me. Gratitude went into my shadow for a while because I could not relate to it. My parents’ and grandparents’ experience came from lack. Some very essential ingredients were missing when they referred to gratitude with that disapproving voice. They completely missed the joy, the magic, and the wonder that is to be found in gratitude. When they referred to gratitude it came from the head instead of the heart, it came from fear to have to experience lack again, instead of knowing the universe as abundant. Instead of teaching true gratitude by their example, they preached gratitude and judged what they perceived as “ungrateful”.

When I moved from Europe to Canada, Thanksgiving became one of my favourite times of the year. I loved teaching my children about giving thanks and seeing their brains process the information of abundance. Their eyes lit up and their creative little minds joyfully came up with more magical and wonderful things that had manifested and were reasons for thankfulness.

What actually happens when we focus on all our blessings? Quantum physics has taught us that we affect and create change by what we observe. We literally modify the molecules that make up our physical world. As we are focusing our attention on all we have in abundance and give thanks for everything, for what we really enjoy but also for everything we like less, we are affecting our reality.

We are happier, we are healthier and we are able to perceive opportunities and more abundance. Complaining inhibits our brain from properly processing information. Our perceptive filters prevent us from seeing what we are looking for. We only see the print-out in the physical world of our past fears and worries. Complaining creates interference. Instead of using our ability to create with clear focus what we actually want, we are creating blocks and are getting ourselves stuck.

gratitude-james-mellon_-cement

What we complain about expands. Complaining brings on more of what we are complaining about. We always have the choice. We can focus on gratitude or on complaining. We are creating either way.

Gratitude is not something we do but who we become as we focus on our riches. Gratitude is a powerful magnet. It is expansive. Complaining, worrying and “should-ing” are constrictive. They create statics in the infinite field of possibilities. An attitude of unhappiness and dissatisfaction keeps us away from our good. “You should be grateful” is counterproductive. Saying “yes” to life means working in resonance with the field of possibilities.

gratitude-e-tolle_always-say-yes

In today’s globalization, we are being sold a hostile world everywhere. Our fear driven amygdala kicks in and buys into the illusion of separation, of living in a “dog-eat-dog” world. We feel small, unsafe and shift into “fight mode”. From that fear, ideas of greed, envy and competition are born.

During the Shadow Energetics workshop, we begin one morning with a deep meditation called “Being State Meditation” which my friend Darryl Gurney created. The purpose of that meditation is to experience ourselves as different from form, independent of the many roles we all play, of experiencing ourselves as true essence. Once we have had that taste of being more than our physical body and being connected with everything and everybody it has to reflect our choices. We realize the responsibility we all carry for the entire system we are all part of.

Everything is connected. Just like the five fingers of my hand are all connected, each of us is an integral part of one living system; we live as such, breathe as such, thrive as such. Everything I do affects everything else. We affect and change everything, even just by observing and thinking, not to mention by what we say and do. When we apply our beliefs, fears and opinions to the world, we shape the world. If we buy into hostility and danger, we create more violence and aggression. If our commodities are love, compassion and forgiveness, we contribute to healing the planet.

Experiments with the Transcendental Meditation® technique has shown that only one square root of 1% of a population practicing unconditional love and true peace, results in measurable improvements away from fear, crime, aggression and violence, to lower crime rates, less violence, cooperation and group thinking.

“… By choosing to add energy to the resonant field of gratitude and joy, you can fundamentally change the world… you don’t have to march for peace (although you may want to)… You can enlarge the conversation by taking your focus off the negative and noticing all the things that are going right, taking a stand for goodness of humanity.” (Pam Grout)

What we choose to focus on manifests. My mind creates my experience, not the other way around! Therefore, it is my responsibility to see a friendly Universe. It is my essential contribution to making this planet the beautiful, safe and loving place it can be.

Going Inwards

Have you ever had a day, or even a week, where you wondered why the whole world seems to have lost their mind? A day when you couldn’t believe that one silly thing after the next happened?

I did. One issue after the next came up and I was shaking my head at why it always all seems to happen at once. My best friend Claudia just laughed when I told her. She reminded me of what I knew but had forgotten this week: “Relax. It is not the world, it is you. Do you feel centred this week? Truly centred and strong? How many “energy strings” are leading away from you right now?”

She was right of course. The world mirrors for us what is going on inside. Life has been too busy lately. Busy in a good way, yet still out of balance. Life flows best when there is a balance between being extrovert and introvert, between doing and just being. And as much as she was not saying anything I don’t know—in fact I point energy leaks out to my clients all the time—I seemed to have forgotten my own teachings.

Why did I forget? Because sometimes life is so exciting, there are all those opportunities tempting us, all those connections to make and all those experiences to have, that we can forget to bring the energy back in and re-charge. We are so eager to be part of something and to feel the aliveness which comes from the experience of being in the middle of things that we sometimes tend to forget the peace that lies in the opposite of doing.

 Weeping Willow 3

I meditate daily but when life is extra busy I need more than that. I need more sleep and I need alone time. The “world gone crazy” showed me that it is time to re-charge, time to unplug from all social networks, time to cancel activities, time to go out and sit under my favourite tree, time to connect with the Universe outside in nature, time to re-focus on myself, time to collect all the energy back and to go inwards.

I unplugged for an entire day yesterday and can’t wait for the next day to “unplug”. As a reward for just being present in the moment, for being spontaneous and going for a walk, the Universe had a little surprise which made my day. Close to the sailboat harbour in Oakville down by the lake, a special rock collection is growing.

Rocks 3

According to a local person passing by, it all started with a bucket a child left behind. Somebody wrote “bucket list” on that pail, left a marker behind, and people wrote their dreams and thoughts onto rocks and put them into the bucket. When the bucket became too small, people started adding rocks and piling them up around the bucket.

Some rocks hold wishes and intentions sent out to the Universe, others drawings, and the best ones—or so I feel—have quotes or reminders for others written on them.

Rock Your Opinion Of Me 1

Rock Be YoruselfHave you lately considered your bucket list or what is really important to you? Make it fun and inspiring. We get so caught up in our lives, so caught up in our hurts and stories. Go check out this rock collection and add your own dreams, thoughts or quotes. Or perhaps you want to start your own rock collection and meditate on what is truly essential for your personal and spiritual growth.

The Growth Choice Versus the Fear Choice

If you are not satisfied with what you do and you keep postponing starting a new career or business, have you actually avoided making a decision?

If you are avoiding speaking to your partner or ex-partner about an important issue, are you really postponing making that difficult decision?

If you are struggling financially and you find yourself going deeper and deeper into debt and you don’t make changes, are you able to escape making a decision?

In all three cases, you have made several decisions or choices. You have made the choice not to be in control of your life. You have made the choice to remain stagnant. You have made the choice to allow others to make the decisions for you. You have given away the opportunity to have an in-put and find a compromise. Your partner will most likely make his or her own decision without you, and your debtors are most probably going to react to your financial situation. In each case, you have deluded yourself that you are not making a decision, but you have, in fact, made a fear choice over a growth choice.

We are making choices all the time! We cannot live life without making choices in every given moment. “The Universe is Decisive” (Raymond Charles Barker). We exist in and are part of a Universe in which we are constantly co-creating our reality. The Law of Mind, as the Science of Mind teachers call it, or the Law of Attraction, as it is called in the Abraham teachings, is clear: We are constantly manifesting from our thoughts, feelings, words, decisions and actions. It is not possible to NOT make a choice.

The choice not to make a choice is a choice in itself. It’s the choice to stay “in limbo”. And on the other side of indecisive energy is decisive energy. When we are indecisive, we draw in other people who are decisive and will make decisions for us. The choice to let somebody else make the choices for us IS a choice. We give away our power of decision. We give away an opportunity to self-actualize consciously.

Abraham Maslow choices

We are human and we make fear choices over growth choices all the time. We might choose to stay in an unhappy relationship out of the fear of being alone. We may choose to not move from a financially secure job into a more fulfilling but less secure one. We might avoid important talks out of fear of conflict.

Be compassionate with yourself when you notice a pattern of making fear choices. Just don’t delude yourself that other people and forces control your life when you are the one who has made the choice to relinquish control.

“Have no fear of negative patterns you may uncover in your mind. They are ready to be known and dismissed.” (Raymond Charles Barker, The Power of Decision, 187) When you find that you tend to behave or act, think or feel in a certain pattern, celebrate that you have found a pattern. Now that your conscious mind is aware of a pattern which you would like to change, you can begin your work. Such a pattern could be “when somebody is not pleased with me or criticises me, I feel rejected” or “I jump to the rescue of people with a victim consciousness, enabling them to remain a victim” or “when somebody is angry, I retreat into feeling helpless instead of constructively solving a problem” or “when I feel sad and not good enough, I overeat to push my emotions down”.

This Universe is fractal in itself. There are repetitive patterns everywhere. They show up in nature, in the history of mankind and in everybody’s individual history. The same patterns show up over and over again until we become aware of them and consciously change them. Within this choice is a decision again: the decision to break a pattern, no matter how long it has been present, the decision to change something that has not been working for us.

Receiving Guidance

Oracle cards are an ancient method to receive guidance. They can help to answer questions we have about an issue we are faced with and to access our intuitive wisdom. Based on the spiritual Law of Attraction, certain cards show up which are related to what our soul already knows but we are not able to see clearly, because it is just on the edge of our consciousness. The cards help bring forth that inner knowing into our conscious awareness. They provide insights into those previously submerged thoughts, feelings and beliefs which we need to become aware of and work with. The insights can show us which thoughts and beliefs we might want to alter so that we can make choices which are congruent with our soul’s purpose.

 Oracle Cards2

One of my favourite card decks is “Messages from Your Animal Spirit Guides” by Stephen Farmer, who is going to be our key note speaker at the 2015 Burlington Wholistic Wellness Expo on May 31. Farmer is a shamanic practitioner, minister and psychotherapist and the author of several books about spirit animals, also called totem animals or power animals. This beautiful illustrated deck of cards features different animals and gives us a brief message from each of them. The accompanying guide book includes a longer description on how to interpret each card’s general meaning.

You can use oracle cards like these on your own, or in a group. Centre yourself and set a clear intention or ask a clear question. The question can be very specific or open ended like “What do I need to know right now?” One way to receive the answer is to shuffle the deck. Sometimes a card seems to fall out. Trust that “coincidence” that this is your card. If no card “jumps out”, stop shuffling when you get the intuitive sense to do so. Then pull a card either from the top of the deck or anywhere in the deck that you are guided to draw from. As you look at the card, pay attention to the first thing that comes to mind. Which parts of the card’s message resonate with you and how?

Last weekend, at our monthly PSYCH-K® practice group, which I offer for the students of Darryl Gurney’s classes, we used Stephen Farmer’s card deck to receive additional insights on which beliefs everybody might want to change. Three cards showed up more than once which was interesting as the participants worked together in groups of two. The same subjects re-emerged for everybody to pair up in teams with a matching topic. Some of the cards which showed up were the boar, the blue heron, the walrus and the bumblebee.

 Oracle Card - Boar

The boar encourages to “face your problems head-on with confidence and courage, and you will emerge victorious”. It’s a call to dig in and rummage around until you have discovered how to solve the current problem you have. Then you need to take immediate action to remedy it. Emerging victorious could be to either having conquered the problem or having changed your thinking about the situation, or both. Possible statements to balance might be “I deserve to get what I want” or “I always succeed in my endeavours” or “I am confident in my decisions”. Obviously each individual situation somebody is facing will give this message a personal aspect of what supportive beliefs are needed.

 Oracle Card - Blue Heron

The blue heron asks to “make a stand for what you believe in and do what feels right in spite of any judgment or disapproval from others”. Trust your deepest sense of knowing what the best action is for you. Don’t rely on others telling you what to do or on their assessment of you. Possible beliefs to change might be “I care less and less what other people think” or “I trust my own opinion and feelings” or “It’s ok for me to displease others to be true to myself”.

 Oracle Card - Walrus

The walrus warns to “remain vigilant about the current situation; pay attention to signs and omens, and let them dictate your choices”. Watch, listen and feel. Be aware of your dreams and other messages. You might want to journal and watch out for repetitions. Does it feel like a certain career situation or relationship is a call to set clear boundaries and to make new choices or changes? Possible beliefs to balance might be “I release all fear and attachment to a specific outcome” or “I trust the guidance I receive” or “I make conscious choices”.

 Oracle Card - Honeybee

The honeybee advises to “let compassion and forgiveness be your top priority in this situation”. Forgiveness does not mean forgetting, it does not mean saying somebody was wrong or right, it does not mean loving a person, it just means to release and free up the energy we have bound up with the feelings we have about a certain person or situation. Forgiveness requires that we acknowledge and accept responsibility for our judgments and that we release them. To forgive means to go beyond right and wrong. Sometimes we forget the most important person when we forgive: ourselves. Possible statements can be “I forgive… (insert person’s name) for … (insert what they have done or didn’t do)” or “I forgive myself for… “

Forgiveness

is the gift that you give yourself

that frees you from the pain

that you gave yourself by judging others negative.

New Year’s Traditions

In Europe—and Russia so I heard from one of my clients yesterday—the end of an old year and the beginning of a new year is seen as a more important celebration than in North America. Everybody stays up, and celebrates with family and friends. You think back to the old year and look forward to the new, setting intentions of what you want to experience.

bleigiessen

When I was a girl, we used to do “Bleigießen” (“Lead pouring”) for New Year’s Eve in Germany. A small amount of lead was melted in a tablespoon (by heating it up with a lighter underneath the spoon) and then poured into a bucket of water. It would harden into different shapes to give you a preview of what to expect in the New Year. For example, if the lead formed a ball, it meant “luck will roll your way”. Superstition? Or is it maybe a way to talk about your dreams with your loved ones and to set intentions of manifesting more consciously in the New Year?

gratefulness jar

In our family, our favourite New Year’s Eve tradition is to open our Gratitude Jar. The jar is filled with little notes about the year that is just ending. Whenever something good happens to one of us, something we felt excited about or grateful for, we put a note in the jar to hold onto those memories and good feelings. On Dec. 31, everybody has a chance to read out their own notes to everybody else and re-experience their happy moments. It’s a way to look back at a year of plenty, an abundance of joy, happiness and dreams which came true.

suitcase

Another tradition my children like is to take a suitcase and run around the block or around the outside of the house to set the intention of travelling in the year to come. I believe we first came across this fun custom speaking to a Mexican friend of ours. It has us laughing and envisioning the marvellous places we want to visit in the future.

Have you ever wondered why we kiss the person closest to us once the clock strikes 12:00? It has to do with the custom passed down through the ages to kiss the person we hope to keep kissing in the New Year.

Oliebollen

In different parts of the world, food is used in a symbolic fashion, usually for food to be abundant again in the new year. In Dutch, Belgian and North German homes, fritters made out of flour, eggs, and milk, called Oliebollen or Ölkugeln are served. In Swiss homes, dollops of whipped cream, symbolizing the richness of the year to come, are dropped on the floors.

letter to Universe2

A spiritual way to end the old year and begin the new is to write a letter to the Universe. This letter is written as if you are already looking back onto the coming year, so for example this year’s letter would be written looking back onto 2015 at the end of December 2015. In the letter you give thanks and feel gratitude for all the health, happiness, prosperity, growth and wonderful manifestations of the year.

THEME OF THE NEW YEAR

My friend Grace Attard raised an interesting question on Facebook by sharing her theme for 2014 (“easy manifestation and allowing”) and her new theme for 2015 (“all in” and committing to the work required). Someone else mentioned “letting go” as their theme for the New Year.

What is your theme for 2015? What are you focusing on?

My theme is “creativity”; meaning handling life’s challenges creatively. We are not in control of what other people bring into our life but we are in control of what we want to “cook” from the “ingredients” which show up.

What do all these traditions and end of year reflections have in common? They are about gratitude and focusing on what we want. They help us to be thankful and give us clarity about our goals and desires. Energetically, we are getting ready to live and create more purposefully and in line with what makes our soul sing.

An old year ends, a new one starts, and we are bringing all those beautiful memories of 2014 with us as we continue to create and celebrate life. We carry feelings of gratefulness and excitement in our hearts. Here is to another amazing year! Cheers!

Our Vibrational Invitation

“The choices that others make cannot negatively impact your experience unless you include them in your experience through your attention to them. Things come to you only through your Vibrational invitation—and they remain only by your continuing attention to them.”
—Abraham

invitation

I posted this quote on Facebook just a week ago. It received quite a few likes. The best compliment, however, was that a friend of mine tells me her husband thought the quote was about him. I had to laugh. I assured her that her husband was the last person on my mind when I posted the quote. I have no idea what is going on in his life at the moment, but I am flattered that the post made him stop and re-think something that is relevant for him.

So, who did I have in mind with this quote then? Simply myself. I needed a reminder of what I know to be true but sometimes forget myself. In fact, a lot of what I post on facebook or blog about is a reminder for myself and at the same time for many unknown other people. My writing is not meant for one particular person. However, if you feel you needed to hear something that was mentioned in one of my posts, I am grateful that it had meaning to you.

We are all going through similar challenges at times. When I post about parenting, or relationships, or our shadow, or the law of attraction, it might be something I have learned at one point but it also just as often is a reminder for myself to readjust my course in life slightly, or to change direction in a particular area. Living life with the goal to be the best self you can be, is an ongoing process of awareness of how we are showing up versus who we are capable of being.

The Abraham quote above is a beautiful reminder for all of us that what we focus on grows and persists. What we don’t allow into our experience cannot affect us.

vibration

If you have relatives or friends who make choices you would not want to make, you can let that aggravate you and sit in judgment over them, or you can remember that it is not up to you to change other people. Our Universe is based upon freedom: freedom for everyone to choose what they give their attention to, and therefore what they choose to experience. You have the same freedom to choose your values and make your own decisions for your own life.

If you have an angry or resentful family member, you can focus on what he or she has said or done and allow that to affect the peace in your family, or you can choose to not engage. Focus on the loving energy instead which surrounds you and cannot be penetrated by anger, jealousy, or the desire to hurt others—unless you allow it to be.

If you feel the world is not fair and others got what you should have gotten you can focus on your lack, or remember that when others achieve what they desire, they in no way deprive you of your desires. There is enough prosperity, enough health and enough love for everybody to live in abundance.

Wishing you all a

VERY HAPPY AND ABUNDANT 2015!

Focus

Sometimes I don’t write a blog for weeks. A fleeting thought might cross my mind, “I haven’t blogged in a long time. I should… Ah, I will make time for that later…” And in the end, blogging does not happen. Then, suddenly something catches my interest and I write a new blog. Now I have shifted my attention. The next day I might notice something else that is “of the stuff” for a blog, and I write about that as well. This usually goes on for a while, until I allow life to take over again.

What has happened when we allow something else to take over? Has it really “taken over” as if we had nothing to do with it? Admittedly, sometimes “fires need to be put out”. Something occurs that requires immediate attention. However, so much more often we just think something else is more important, or we allow our focus to wander.

The reason for desires, goals…for finding those decisions or points of focus, is because they are the life-giving things of the Universe. Without objects of attention, or objects of desire, Life Force does not come through any of us. —Abraham

In co-creating our reality, in manifesting into this physical form what we truly want to see and engage in, we need to watch our focus closely. The clear intention and focus create a certain effect in your life.

The Universe does not care when you say “I should” or “It would be good for me if…” or “I would like…” It only responds to vibration. Whether you focus on what you don’t want, or whether you focus on what you do want, you will attract more of that same energy. The Universe does not know or care whether the vibration that you’re offering is in response to something you are living right now, and observing, or in response to something you are imagining. In either case, the Universe accepts it as your point of attraction and matches it. —Abraham

If there is drama going on around us and we choose to focus on or even engage in it in some form, we have just guaranteed that we will be tied up in that drama for a longer while. We will be experiencing what we don’t want, until we clearly shift our focus and intention again.

So here is to clear focus and to more blogs this month, as I am approaching my 100th blog…

What are your goals? Weight Loss? Healthier Relationships? Creativity? Ready to shift your focus and strive for your goals?

The Magic Potion to Create Harmonious and Loving Relationships

Are you struggling with your relationship with a particular family member, perhaps with a parent, sibling or child?

Is your marriage or partnership not harmonious or truly loving?

Are you single and do you want to attract a romantic relationship into your life?

Are you getting separated or divorced, and do you want the transition to be as positive as possible?

If I had a magic potion and could give you the relationships you want, what would that look like?

Guess what! YOU have that magic potion yourself. You can create relationships that unfold with ease, joy, and grace. Your relationships can be filled with love, harmony, peace, happiness, and acceptance. Even your relationship with an ex-partner can be cooperative and friendly.

All you have to do is mix your magic potion in the right way; the basic ingredients are working on your own beliefs, thoughts and feelings, and embodying loving kindness, forgiveness and acceptance.

We can never change another person but we can change ourselves. As you change your perception of the relationship you have to another person—as you shift how you feel about him/her and what he/she did—your entire experience changes.

The people we love are usually the best mirrors for us. They bring to our awareness issues we need to work on within ourselves. We can then shift out of judgment and into acceptance. As we confront and befriend the shadows they are showing us in our own being, we no longer get triggered by those loved ones.

Behind every experience there are beliefs and expectations.

If I judge a family member or partner, the relationship will lack mutual acceptance, appreciation and love. The change begins with me changing my judgments and feelings.

If I believe that I am not lucky with romantic relationships, “not being lucky” will be exactly the experience I have. The change starts with moving into a new expectation.

If I view my ex-partner as an enemy, the relationship will be one of disharmony. Change can happen when I am willing to let go of the past  and expect the best now and in the future.

De-cluttering Our Home and Our Mind

With the New Year, the urge to “sweep out old energy” and to make room for the new came in strongly. I usually get a desire to de-clutter at the end of each year but this time around the de-cluttering took on a scope like never before.

We sold the old sofa, bought a new sofa, gave away other furniture, rearranged several rooms, gave away boxes and boxes of books (we are all avid readers) and we were also finally all ready to part with old toys.

De-cluttering brought up a lot of emotions. When we let go of the old and move into a new phase, we leave our comfort zone. Giving away many of my daughters’ toys brought up happy childhood memories for all of us, and the realization that there is no stopping the growing-up process.

For my older daughter, who is done with school soon, it was emotional to give away old books, as it reminded her of the countless hours of reading together, and of feeling loved, safe and taken care of. Life had a predictable structure back then, while now her future is wide open.

For my younger daughter, the tears welled up when she was sorting through her stuffed animal collection and giving away half of them. “After all,” she said, “all stuffed animals need someone to love them.”

And I, myself, had to fight the urge to keep everything “for my grandchildren.” I had to remind myself that before I have grandchildren, many other adventures and projects await me. That energy needs space and room to manifest in my house and in my mind.

There was a lot of dust in the air when we moved things around. However, my dust allergy only kicked in as I was going through old books, especially those that I had used to teach and home-school my older daughter during another time of transition and great change in our lives. I found that interesting, considering that allergies are an over-response of our immune system to something quite harmless which it perceives as a danger. My body was clearly communicating a fear to me, while another part of me felt ready to overcome that fear of what only appears to be dangerous.

For all of us, the resistance to let go wasn’t about the things themselves; it was about the feelings that they bring up in us. It was about moving forward, letting go of what is familiar and therefore feels safe. Unless we let go and fully live in the present with courage, we cannot create anything new. This requires moving out of our comfort zone and allowing ourselves to feel that the future is bright and exciting.

De-cluttering your house therefore goes hand in hand with de-cluttering your mind. In fact, they both feed off each other. Beliefs and thoughts which we must allow to grow when de-cluttering our environment and our minds are:

– Change is safe and exciting.

– I thrive on change.

– I welcome change and growth.

– I joyfully release the past and expect the best now and in the future.

– I embrace new energy and new opportunities.

– I make room for the new.

– I stop waiting for __________ and create the life I want NOW!

– I attract wonderful new experiences, people and things into my life.

The house now feels airier and lighter. There is an atmosphere of bubbly excitement. It filled us with expectancy and anticipation for fabulous and wonderful new things to come in 2014.

How Do I Keep My New Year’s Resolutions?

Every year at New Year’s, most of us look back at the old year. We reflect and review. What were our successes and happiest moments? What dreams are still waiting to be created, or what goals do we want to strive for? Popular resolutions are losing weight, quitting smoking, exercising, de-cluttering, gaining financial abundance, or finding a romantic relationship.

Sometimes we get a bit confused about what we want to manifest. We say, for example, we want more money, better health, or a loving relationship. We focus on a certain dollar amount, or on having to exercise and cut out food, or on searching for that one perfect partner.

In each case the question really is, what do you want to FEEL?

Money is a means to an end. What you really want might be to feel abundance, or freedom to do what you like.  Health is very abstract, and we can exercise and diet all we want and still not feel healthy and full of energy. We all need to find out what works for us as individuals to think and feel healthy. Love, again, is a feeling and is not bound to that one perfect relationship partner. When you begin to live loving relationships all around and you attract more love into your life, you become a magnet for the romantic partner you want.

No matter what dream or goal we have, no matter what we want to create in our lives, we ultimately want happiness. So it all begins with the decision to be happy. Let go of the past; stop rehashing the good and bad that’s over; stop worrying about the future; stop focusing on lack and on what you do not want! Decide to be happy right now, right here!

Pick one or two changes that you want to make and make them your first priority. Where attention goes, energy flows. And where your mental attention goes, your feelings follow. To experience what you want to experience, you begin with thinking what you want to feel.

Making changes and keeping your new year’s resolutions starts with changing your subconscious beliefs and thoughts. As you think differently, you are able to create better health, feel greater happiness and experience more abundance in every area of your life.
