Letter From Your Future Self

With the old year ending and the new year approaching, we look back and assess what we have manifested in 2017, and what we want to attract in 2018. Are you ready to set some powerful intentions for the new year? Let me share one specific end of year ritual with you which you can use.

Ten years ago, when I was attending Unity Church, I came across a beautiful manifestation technique: On the last day of the old year, you write a letter from the perspective of the end of the next year. Or in other words, you write a letter from your future self, giving thanks and expressing gratitude for everything the new year has brought you. The extra twist at Unity Church was that they kept our letters and mailed them out to all of us a year later. It was usually amazing to read how many of the experiences, events and people described in the letter had really occurred or shown up.

How does this work? It’s the Law of Attraction. “Life is a mirror and will reflect back to the thinker what he thinks into it” (Ernest Holmes). We are engaging the law of the Universe and at the same time we are implanting beliefs and expectations into our subconscious mind. When we set powerful intentions, visualize clearly and feel what we want to create in our heart, we are speaking the language of the subconscious mind. Our subconscious stores the vision away and assists us in creating the future we really want.

I invite you to take time over the next couple of days to write such a letter to the Universe, or to Source, or to God, or to your own Higher Self. Drop into your heart. Just focus on your heart as if you are breathing in and out through the centre of your chest, recall a heart-felt memory full of love, joy, peace or harmony. Stay in this heart open space as you write your letter.

Remember, it’s your future self, one year older, who is writing a thank you letter for all that has occurred in 2018. Do not ask or pray for what you want but write in retrospect and with lots of gratitude for what has unfolded already. You can begin your letter with “I am so happy and grateful now that…” or any other way that feels like your heart is overflowing with thankfulness. And don’t limit yourself! Anything is possible if you really want it and can feel it. Have fun with this. When you have written the letter, drop into your heart again and read it out loud. Send your words out to the Universe knowing that your vision is already manifesting as you really feel it in your heart. And so it is.

The Effects of an Attitude of Gratitude

Have you ever heard somebody say “You should be grateful for…”? How did that feel? Was that an invitation to even consider shifting into an attitude of gratitude?

Growing up as a child, gratitude got a “bad rap” for me. Gratitude went into my shadow for a while because I could not relate to it. My parents’ and grandparents’ experience came from lack. Some very essential ingredients were missing when they referred to gratitude with that disapproving voice. They completely missed the joy, the magic, and the wonder that is to be found in gratitude. When they referred to gratitude it came from the head instead of the heart, it came from fear to have to experience lack again, instead of knowing the universe as abundant. Instead of teaching true gratitude by their example, they preached gratitude and judged what they perceived as “ungrateful”.

When I moved from Europe to Canada, Thanksgiving became one of my favourite times of the year. I loved teaching my children about giving thanks and seeing their brains process the information of abundance. Their eyes lit up and their creative little minds joyfully came up with more magical and wonderful things that had manifested and were reasons for thankfulness.

What actually happens when we focus on all our blessings? Quantum physics has taught us that we affect and create change by what we observe. We literally modify the molecules that make up our physical world. As we are focusing our attention on all we have in abundance and give thanks for everything, for what we really enjoy but also for everything we like less, we are affecting our reality.

We are happier, we are healthier and we are able to perceive opportunities and more abundance. Complaining inhibits our brain from properly processing information. Our perceptive filters prevent us from seeing what we are looking for. We only see the print-out in the physical world of our past fears and worries. Complaining creates interference. Instead of using our ability to create with clear focus what we actually want, we are creating blocks and are getting ourselves stuck.

gratitude-james-mellon_-cement

What we complain about expands. Complaining brings on more of what we are complaining about. We always have the choice. We can focus on gratitude or on complaining. We are creating either way.

Gratitude is not something we do but who we become as we focus on our riches. Gratitude is a powerful magnet. It is expansive. Complaining, worrying and “should-ing” are constrictive. They create statics in the infinite field of possibilities. An attitude of unhappiness and dissatisfaction keeps us away from our good. “You should be grateful” is counterproductive. Saying “yes” to life means working in resonance with the field of possibilities.

gratitude-e-tolle_always-say-yes

In today’s globalization, we are being sold a hostile world everywhere. Our fear driven amygdala kicks in and buys into the illusion of separation, of living in a “dog-eat-dog” world. We feel small, unsafe and shift into “fight mode”. From that fear, ideas of greed, envy and competition are born.

During the Shadow Energetics workshop, we begin one morning with a deep meditation called “Being State Meditation” which my friend Darryl Gurney created. The purpose of that meditation is to experience ourselves as different from form, independent of the many roles we all play, of experiencing ourselves as true essence. Once we have had that taste of being more than our physical body and being connected with everything and everybody it has to reflect our choices. We realize the responsibility we all carry for the entire system we are all part of.

Everything is connected. Just like the five fingers of my hand are all connected, each of us is an integral part of one living system; we live as such, breathe as such, thrive as such. Everything I do affects everything else. We affect and change everything, even just by observing and thinking, not to mention by what we say and do. When we apply our beliefs, fears and opinions to the world, we shape the world. If we buy into hostility and danger, we create more violence and aggression. If our commodities are love, compassion and forgiveness, we contribute to healing the planet.

Experiments with the Transcendental Meditation® technique has shown that only one square root of 1% of a population practicing unconditional love and true peace, results in measurable improvements away from fear, crime, aggression and violence, to lower crime rates, less violence, cooperation and group thinking.

gratitude-pam-grout

“… By choosing to add energy to the resonant field of gratitude and joy, you can fundamentally change the world… you don’t have to march for peace (although you may want to)… You can enlarge the conversation by taking your focus off the negative and noticing all the things that are going right, taking a stand for goodness of humanity.” (Pam Grout)

What we choose to focus on manifests. My mind creates my experience, not the other way around! Therefore, it is my responsibility to see a friendly Universe. It is my essential contribution to making this planet the beautiful, safe and loving place it can be.

What is Holding You Back from Making “The Secret” Work for Yourself?

Dhebi De Witz - quote

In her book “The Messenger Within,” Dhebi DeWitz names 7 areas of influence which are holding us back from manifesting and creating the happy and healthy life we are able to have:

  1. Our Beliefs
  2. Our Emotions
  3. Our Essential Human Needs
  4. Our Distant Past
  5. Our Shadows
  6. Our Lifestyle
  7. Additional Energy

In “Living the Science of Mind”, Ernest Holmes compares the flow of the Universal Goodness to a huge body of water up in the mountains. The water is brought down by a system of pipes to irrigate the valley. The flow is endless and has a natural pressure within itself. It is only limited by the size of the pipe through which it flows. When no water flows or it only trickles, the reason is not that the water has stopped flowing, but that the pipe is blocked.

The debris blocking the flow of Source Energy or Goodness into our life is made up of our subconscious beliefs, the emotions we are stuck in, our needs which aren’t met, influences from the past (past lives, ancestral lineage), our shadows which we have disowned, lifestyle influences and energy blockages. The reasonable thing is to follow the pipe back and clean out the debris that blocks it.

Waterfall - small

Only approximately 5% of our words and actions originate from the conscious mind. 95% of the time, we are habitually operating from our subconscious beliefs. Those belief programs influence how we think, how we speak, how we act and ultimately, what destiny we are able to manifest for ourselves. The good news is that those subconscious programs can be changed from limiting beliefs to supportive ones.

Just like our limiting beliefs, our emotions also create our experience of reality below our level of conscious awareness. Our emotions affect our health greatly; 90% of physical issues have an emotional root. All of us experience emotional extremes at times. Emotions are normal, in fact, all feelings and emotions are good; they provide us with feedback that we need to address something. However, some emotions do not resolve themselves completely; they can cause an obstruction in the physical body, sending out a continuous interference resonance. This situation is similar to a steam kettle under pressure. As a result, we continue to operate from a reality we perceive from our emotional pain. These blocked emotions can be released from the physical body.

Our essential human needs have a life force of their own. No matter how old we are, as human beings, we all have needs and desires. Unfulfilled needs cause emotions such as frustration, disappointment or resentment. When we learn how to successfully communicate our own needs, we then in turn can also help others to acknowledge, express and fulfill their needs. The Goodness Ernest Holmes speaks about can flow into our life and into our relationships.

There are times when past-life experiences or ancestral lineage influences affect your current life. This is the case when there is a carry-over interference pattern from the past that needs to be resolved in the present. Past life memories are stored in our subconscious mind; ancestral influences are stored in our cells. The latter are passed on through our DNA to the next generation. We have the choice to heal our past lives and ancestral wounds.

Everything that is in the world is also inside of us. We are born like a castle with a thousand rooms. As a child, we explore all rooms in this magnificent castle without malice. We try out all energy or in other words all “possibilities of being” – until other people tell us something is “bad” or “wrong”. You shouldn’t be loud and enjoy attention, you shouldn’t be selfish or greedy, you shouldn’t be lazy, you shouldn’t be angry, you shouldn’t be… and the list goes on. Because we all want and need to be accepted and loved, we disown those personality traits which we learn are “bad”. They become our shadows. Because we have pushed them away, we can only perceive them in projection in others.  They become our triggers; we judge them in others. These shadows become part of the debris which blocks the life force energy. They keep us from being whole, from unconditionally loving ourselves and others. By embracing all our disowned personality parts, we become whole again.

Deepak Chopra emphasizes that we all have a blueprint for health, no blueprint for disease. However, certain lifestyle choices we make create interference patterns which disrupt the healthy blueprint within us. Those choices include—among others—unhealthy food choices, toxins, stress, lack or rest, relaxation and meditation, lack of exercise, lack of joy and play, lack of fresh air and sunshine, and even a lack of bodywork, for example massages or energy work. When we change our eating habits, rest more, and make time for healthy movement, we clear out the debris which is the result of unhealthy lifestyle choices.

Last but not least, the flow is blocked when there is low vibrational or heavy energy affecting us. The more we are aware of the energy flow in our bodies and in our surroundings, the easier we can shift and uplift the energy through a clearing ritual or prayer.

These seven areas constitute the secret behind “The Secret” of manifesting our dreams, goals and desires using the Law of Attraction.

In the Shadow Energetics Workshop, we touch on all seven areas and devolve deeper into the first five.

  1. You learn how to communicate with your subconscious mind and your higher self through energy testing (muscle testing). You are taught a belief change process to replace limiting subconscious beliefs with more supportive ones.
  2. You learn an Emotional Release Process, an efficient and effective tool to release an emotional charge.
  3. We connect with our Inner Child and our Essential Human Needs. You will be introduced to Rosenberg’s Non-Violent Communication model of successfully expressing your feelings and needs.
  4. When tapping into your Higher Self through muscle testing past issues, including past/parallel lives or our ancestral lineage might come up.
  5. The core piece of the Shadow Energetics workshop are our dark and light shadows which show up in our relationships with others. Our dark shadows are parts of ourselves which we have learned to disown as “bad” or “wrong” and therefore judge in others. Our light shadows are what we admire in others and again think we are not.

What if our desire is not part of God’s plan?

Beth's text

Hi Angelika,
I have a question. I’m wondering how we know or manage our life around God’s plan for us or God’s divine timing.  We can do all of this work to align our desires and subconscious beliefs but what if what we desire is not part of God’s plan now or ever?  I think the answer may have something to do with living in the moment and accepting where we are now. If we do that each day then I guess we never really need to be so concerned about the future?

Beth

Dear Beth,

Personally I believe the separation between us and God is an artificial one; it is an illusion. God or Life Force flows through us, expresses itself through us and as us. We are God.

So really you are asking, what if we have cleared out all subconscious blocks and limiting beliefs, we have really visualized and felt the future we are moving towards but our desires don’t manifest in the time or way our conscious Ego is expecting?

I believe there is a higher plan and a perfect time and way for everything. Part of creating consciously is to let go of all expectations. We need to set clear intentions, send out clear signals about what we want and then let go of how our desires are supposed to manifest.

Beth

In the Science of Mind tradition* praying and manifesting through affirmative prayer has five parts:

  1. RECOGNITION that God/Life Force/the Universe/Spirit is all there is
  1. UNIFICATION with God; acknowledging that we are not separate from God but part of God/Life Force/the Universe/Spirit
  1. DECLARATION (not begging for but stating the desire clearly) or REALIZATION (feeling what it feels like to have it)
  1. GRATITUDE (already feeling the gratitude for everything that you will receive as if you have already received it)
  1. RELEASE (truly letting it go and surrendering to the how and when of the manifestation)

It is not enough to visualize, we also often need to come up with actions step to manifest our dreams. The perfect partner, the perfect job or perfect health will not just fall from the sky right into our lap. However, if we cannot really feel what we want, our creations will be less successful. Step 3 as well as 4 require us to go into the feeling space of what it is we desire. How does it feel to have love in your life, or abundance or success?

Take the time to line up the Energy first,

and action becomes inconsequential.

If you don’t take the time to line up the Energy,

if you don’t find the feeling place of what you’re looking for,

not enough action in the world will make any difference.

– Abraham

The letting go part (step 5) is an important element of manifesting as well. When you send off a letter, you put it in the mail box and trust that it will get delivered and it will be answered, don’t you? Not trusting that God or the Universe will hear you or respond, is as if you are opening the mail box to check over and over again if the letter has really been sent.

mail box

You are also absolutely right that “living in the moment and accepting where we are now” is part of the process. I would add to “accepting” “and loving what is”. We need to start living in this moment in time what we want to create. If we want respect, we need to make sure we are respecting ourselves and others. If we want more abundance, the fastest way to get it is to focus on all the abundance we already have. If we want love, we need to love ourselves and be loving with others. Be love and you can’t help but attract it. Feel abundant, happy, healthy and so on and you will create more of it.

Sometimes we want something but our higher self has a different plan for us. A typical and a bit overused example is when we want to win the lottery. Is it really the million dollar win which we want, or is it rather the feeling such an abundance of money would give us? Maybe it’s a feeling of freedom or opportunities? Maybe we want to stop worrying about money or be able to help others?

Is there another way besides winning a million dollars to give us what we really want? Maybe the learning is to stop worrying about money and to help others with the time and talents we have? Can we start feeling abundant and free and create opportunities independent of money?

Life is not about how things happen but about living to our fullest potential. I do believe the benevolent force we call God wants the best for us now and always. So the trick is to relax into knowing that life just wants to be lived and that we will get what is best in the time and in the way which is best for us. We need to just continue creating as consciously as possible.

*Science of Mind was established in 1927 by Ernest Holmes (1887–1960) and is a spiritual, philosophical and metaphysical religious movement within the New Thought movement.

The Growth Choice Versus the Fear Choice

If you are not satisfied with what you do and you keep postponing starting a new career or business, have you actually avoided making a decision?

If you are avoiding speaking to your partner or ex-partner about an important issue, are you really postponing making that difficult decision?

If you are struggling financially and you find yourself going deeper and deeper into debt and you don’t make changes, are you able to escape making a decision?

In all three cases, you have made several decisions or choices. You have made the choice not to be in control of your life. You have made the choice to remain stagnant. You have made the choice to allow others to make the decisions for you. You have given away the opportunity to have an in-put and find a compromise. Your partner will most likely make his or her own decision without you, and your debtors are most probably going to react to your financial situation. In each case, you have deluded yourself that you are not making a decision, but you have, in fact, made a fear choice over a growth choice.

We are making choices all the time! We cannot live life without making choices in every given moment. “The Universe is Decisive” (Raymond Charles Barker). We exist in and are part of a Universe in which we are constantly co-creating our reality. The Law of Mind, as the Science of Mind teachers call it, or the Law of Attraction, as it is called in the Abraham teachings, is clear: We are constantly manifesting from our thoughts, feelings, words, decisions and actions. It is not possible to NOT make a choice.

The choice not to make a choice is a choice in itself. It’s the choice to stay “in limbo”. And on the other side of indecisive energy is decisive energy. When we are indecisive, we draw in other people who are decisive and will make decisions for us. The choice to let somebody else make the choices for us IS a choice. We give away our power of decision. We give away an opportunity to self-actualize consciously.

Abraham Maslow choices

We are human and we make fear choices over growth choices all the time. We might choose to stay in an unhappy relationship out of the fear of being alone. We may choose to not move from a financially secure job into a more fulfilling but less secure one. We might avoid important talks out of fear of conflict.

Be compassionate with yourself when you notice a pattern of making fear choices. Just don’t delude yourself that other people and forces control your life when you are the one who has made the choice to relinquish control.

“Have no fear of negative patterns you may uncover in your mind. They are ready to be known and dismissed.” (Raymond Charles Barker, The Power of Decision, 187) When you find that you tend to behave or act, think or feel in a certain pattern, celebrate that you have found a pattern. Now that your conscious mind is aware of a pattern which you would like to change, you can begin your work. Such a pattern could be “when somebody is not pleased with me or criticises me, I feel rejected” or “I jump to the rescue of people with a victim consciousness, enabling them to remain a victim” or “when somebody is angry, I retreat into feeling helpless instead of constructively solving a problem” or “when I feel sad and not good enough, I overeat to push my emotions down”.

This Universe is fractal in itself. There are repetitive patterns everywhere. They show up in nature, in the history of mankind and in everybody’s individual history. The same patterns show up over and over again until we become aware of them and consciously change them. Within this choice is a decision again: the decision to break a pattern, no matter how long it has been present, the decision to change something that has not been working for us.

Our Vibrational Invitation

“The choices that others make cannot negatively impact your experience unless you include them in your experience through your attention to them. Things come to you only through your Vibrational invitation—and they remain only by your continuing attention to them.”
—Abraham

invitation

I posted this quote on Facebook just a week ago. It received quite a few likes. The best compliment, however, was that a friend of mine tells me her husband thought the quote was about him. I had to laugh. I assured her that her husband was the last person on my mind when I posted the quote. I have no idea what is going on in his life at the moment, but I am flattered that the post made him stop and re-think something that is relevant for him.

So, who did I have in mind with this quote then? Simply myself. I needed a reminder of what I know to be true but sometimes forget myself. In fact, a lot of what I post on facebook or blog about is a reminder for myself and at the same time for many unknown other people. My writing is not meant for one particular person. However, if you feel you needed to hear something that was mentioned in one of my posts, I am grateful that it had meaning to you.

We are all going through similar challenges at times. When I post about parenting, or relationships, or our shadow, or the law of attraction, it might be something I have learned at one point but it also just as often is a reminder for myself to readjust my course in life slightly, or to change direction in a particular area. Living life with the goal to be the best self you can be, is an ongoing process of awareness of how we are showing up versus who we are capable of being.

The Abraham quote above is a beautiful reminder for all of us that what we focus on grows and persists. What we don’t allow into our experience cannot affect us.

vibration

If you have relatives or friends who make choices you would not want to make, you can let that aggravate you and sit in judgment over them, or you can remember that it is not up to you to change other people. Our Universe is based upon freedom: freedom for everyone to choose what they give their attention to, and therefore what they choose to experience. You have the same freedom to choose your values and make your own decisions for your own life.

If you have an angry or resentful family member, you can focus on what he or she has said or done and allow that to affect the peace in your family, or you can choose to not engage. Focus on the loving energy instead which surrounds you and cannot be penetrated by anger, jealousy, or the desire to hurt others—unless you allow it to be.

If you feel the world is not fair and others got what you should have gotten you can focus on your lack, or remember that when others achieve what they desire, they in no way deprive you of your desires. There is enough prosperity, enough health and enough love for everybody to live in abundance.

Wishing you all a

VERY HAPPY AND ABUNDANT 2015!

Focus

Sometimes I don’t write a blog for weeks. A fleeting thought might cross my mind, “I haven’t blogged in a long time. I should… Ah, I will make time for that later…” And in the end, blogging does not happen. Then, suddenly something catches my interest and I write a new blog. Now I have shifted my attention. The next day I might notice something else that is “of the stuff” for a blog, and I write about that as well. This usually goes on for a while, until I allow life to take over again.

What has happened when we allow something else to take over? Has it really “taken over” as if we had nothing to do with it? Admittedly, sometimes “fires need to be put out”. Something occurs that requires immediate attention. However, so much more often we just think something else is more important, or we allow our focus to wander.

The reason for desires, goals…for finding those decisions or points of focus, is because they are the life-giving things of the Universe. Without objects of attention, or objects of desire, Life Force does not come through any of us. —Abraham

In co-creating our reality, in manifesting into this physical form what we truly want to see and engage in, we need to watch our focus closely. The clear intention and focus create a certain effect in your life.

The Universe does not care when you say “I should” or “It would be good for me if…” or “I would like…” It only responds to vibration. Whether you focus on what you don’t want, or whether you focus on what you do want, you will attract more of that same energy. The Universe does not know or care whether the vibration that you’re offering is in response to something you are living right now, and observing, or in response to something you are imagining. In either case, the Universe accepts it as your point of attraction and matches it. —Abraham

If there is drama going on around us and we choose to focus on or even engage in it in some form, we have just guaranteed that we will be tied up in that drama for a longer while. We will be experiencing what we don’t want, until we clearly shift our focus and intention again.

So here is to clear focus and to more blogs this month, as I am approaching my 100th blog…

What are your goals? Weight Loss? Healthier Relationships? Creativity? Ready to shift your focus and strive for your goals?

Responsibility for Co-Creating ALL Our Experiences

Mother’s Day—like Christmas—seems to be one of those days which are heavy with expectations and emotions.

When asking my clients how their mother’s day weekend unfolded, it didn’t surprise me all that much that a few people experienced disappointment when their own limiting beliefs surfaced. Those beliefs range from “I am not appreciated” to “I never get what I want” on the side of the mothers, and “I can never make my mother happy” and “I am not good enough” on the side of the children. Clients related communications to me that clearly went less than desirable due to the fact that limiting beliefs and negative expectations were brought into the interaction.

Sometimes we manage to ruin an entire day for ourselves due to those “programs” running in our head. Yes, you read that correctly. WE ruin the day, not our family members who didn’t do or say what we wanted them to do.

Do you sometimes have experiences like that which you do not enjoy? You can change them! It is up to every single one of us, no matter whether we are parent or child, wife or husband, to create the family experiences we want. When we feel a day “not going right” it is up to us to change the experience.

Be honest with yourself about your part in the unsuccessful creation. Stop blaming the other family members and take responsibility for shifting the energy.

Do your loved ones trigger your own beliefs, fears or insecurities? Then take responsibility for them. Other people are only mirroring what is inside of you. Do you have needs that aren’t being met? Then make clear and loving requests. Do you want to enjoy the day? Then do it!

You are the pivotal point of your experience. You are the one feeling a certain way. You are the one who gives the experiences in your life a certain meaning. At any given point during a day, you can shift out of disappointment or resentment and into appreciation and joy.

Isn’t it wonderful that you are responsible for co-creating ALL your experiences? That means YOU can change what unfolds for you.

PSYCH-K® is a technique to change your limiting subconscious beliefs and to help you create loving relationships and experiences you want to have. Shadow Work helps you to understand mirrors and get rid of triggers and judgments which are in the way of being truly loving and accepting with each other.

Eureka Moment

One of the best moments for me when working with clients is when somebody has an “Aha! moment,” a Eureka experience. The Greek word Eureka means “I found it”.

What do they find? They find an important insight. They realize that we all create our experiences from our subconscious beliefs and that we have the power to change those beliefs. Through this, we are able to make changes to our thoughts, words, actions and our entire experience of life. I am blessed to be witness to epiphanies like this. Sometimes it happens before somebody comes to me to change their beliefs, sometimes it happens in the first session, sometimes at a later point.

I love that look on someone’s face when they realize that absolutely nothing can keep them from creating the life they truly want. All we need is to accept full responsibility for what shows up in our world. Or to quote Don Mottin: “There is no person, thought, idea, memory, image, feeling, or sensation out of the past, in the present, or ever to arrive in the future that could stop me from being successful”.

We live in a reciprocal Universe, and what we attract into our experience in based on our belief systems. As we change the beliefs, we are able to send out a different energy with our thoughts, words and actions. Anything that we can conceive of, we can achieve. Anything responds to the law of cause and effect. We are the cause for the effects in our life. Our thoughts, words and feelings have the power to manifest anything we can imagine and feel.

When your subconscious agrees with beliefs that support you in reaching your goals and dreams, it is easy and effortless to create the reality you truly want. Hypnosis and PSYCH-K® are techniques to efficiently change these subconscious beliefs.

How Do I Keep My New Year’s Resolutions?

Every year at New Year’s, most of us look back at the old year. We reflect and review. What were our successes and happiest moments? What dreams are still waiting to be created, or what goals do we want to strive for? Popular resolutions are losing weight, quitting smoking, exercising, de-cluttering, gaining financial abundance, or finding a romantic relationship.

Sometimes we get a bit confused about what we want to manifest. We say, for example, we want more money, better health, or a loving relationship. We focus on a certain dollar amount, or on having to exercise and cut out food, or on searching for that one perfect partner.

In each case the question really is, what do you want to FEEL?

Money is a means to an end. What you really want might be to feel abundance, or freedom to do what you like.  Health is very abstract, and we can exercise and diet all we want and still not feel healthy and full of energy. We all need to find out what works for us as individuals to think and feel healthy. Love, again, is a feeling and is not bound to that one perfect relationship partner. When you begin to live loving relationships all around and you attract more love into your life, you become a magnet for the romantic partner you want.

No matter what dream or goal we have, no matter what we want to create in our lives, we ultimately want happiness. So it all begins with the decision to be happy. Let go of the past; stop rehashing the good and bad that’s over; stop worrying about the future; stop focusing on lack and on what you do not want! Decide to be happy right now, right here!

Pick one or two changes that you want to make and make them your first priority. Where attention goes, energy flows. And where your mental attention goes, your feelings follow. To experience what you want to experience, you begin with thinking what you want to feel.

Making changes and keeping your new year’s resolutions starts with changing your subconscious beliefs and thoughts. As you think differently, you are able to create better health, feel greater happiness and experience more abundance in every area of your life.

Why Am I Happy? – How to Ask Empowering Questions

Listen to this blog as a podcast here, or read it below!

PSYCH-K® is a technique which balances affirmations at a subconscious level. These changes to our belief system are made when we are in a whole brain state. Science of Mind uses spiritual mind treatments to change our mind and to help us create what we really want to create.

If you don’t know how to do either, here is an easy way to change the vibration of what you are sending out.

When you ask yourself a question, your mind automatically begins searching for answers.

Why don’t I make more money?

Why am I always getting sick?

Why is it so hard to find my soulmate?

Why doesn’t anyone love or appreciate me?

Why am I not happy? Why am I always sad?

Why am I such a loser?

Those questions automatically form your life. You are creating from that reality and from the feeling space that they put you in.

You can now go the traditional route of all self-help techniques and use affirmations:

I am abundant. I am rich.

I heal quickly and easily.

I meet my soulmate.

I am loved. I am appreciated.

I am happy and full of joy.

I am successful.

More powerful, however, is to change your questions. As we ask a question, we are automatically stepping into the energy of what we are asking and our mind begins to search for reasons why what we are asking is true. Your mind is asking questions all the time. Why not use this to your advantage and ask questions that put you in the energy vibration you want to be in to create a happier and more successful life?

Empowering questions are:

Why do I make more and more money? Why am I so rich?

Why does my body heal so quickly?

Why is it so easy for me to meet my soulmate?

Why am I so loved and appreciated?

Why am I always so happy and full of joy?

Why am I so successful?

Noah St. John recommends the following exercise:

  1. Take a moment and write down the five most disempowering questions that you have on your mind.
  2. Then take a moment to write down the equivalent powerful questions.
  3. Notice how your mind immediately begins to answer those questions. Feel the higher vibrational space you are automatically in.

“As you sow, so shall you reap”

Ralph Waldo Emerson

What you focus on, or in other words which thought seeds you plant, continuously produces results. You have the choice to focus on the seeds you want to plant and the thought flowers you want to grow by changing the questions you ask. Form questions that are affirming what you want, use what St. John calls “afformations” or powerful “why” questions.

Why have I not attracted what I want?

The Law of Attraction always works. It responds reliably to our thoughts and feelings. If you have not managed to manifest what you really want, it could be that you are not clear enough about the FEELING of what you want. Or it could be that you have a limited “mental equivalent” of what you want.

“If we are to draw from Life what we want, we must first think it forth into Life. It always produces what we think. In order to have success, we must first conceive it in our own thought. This is not because we are creators, but because the flow of Life into manifestation, through us, must take the form we give to it, and if we want a thing we must have within ourselves the mental equivalent before we get it.” (E. Holmes)

What does Ernest Holmes mean by that?

If you want to be successful in your business but you hold yourself back due to limiting beliefs, you will only get to a certain level. You have a mental equivalent of limited success. Underneath that idea of limited success can be beliefs around not deserving, or not being able to do something.

If you want love but you believe you cannot leave your loveless marriage, all you will get is something like an affair on the side. You only have the mental equivalent for a limited expression of love. At the basis of this mental equivalent could be a lack of self-love and self-respect.

If you want to be financially abundant but you believe you can only reach a certain standard of living, you won’t manifest beyond that boundary. You only have a limited mental equivalent of prosperity. Limiting beliefs around money or yourself might be at the root of this.

If you want to live a relationship with your children, that flows well, but you buy into the idea that teenagers are difficult, you will encounter problems. You only have the mental equivalent for a limited relationship with them. We can shift your perception of them and yourself to create a relationship characterized by love and understanding.

If you want perfect health but you believe you get sick when someone in your family is ill, you will get sick. You have a mental equivalent of limited health. We can clear out limiting beliefs about your health, the natural healing ability of your body, and about aging.

The good news is: Your subconscious can re-learn anything. Any limiting belief can be released and replaced by one that supports your goals.

Do you need help finding and changing your limiting beliefs that are holding you back from true success, deep love, unlimited prosperity, harmonic relationships, and perfect health? Are you struggling to develop a clear mental equivalent of what you want?
