Accepting What Shows Up – How To Change Your Thoughts & Feelings

The other day I read a post on Facebook that made me stop and laugh. It said:

“When something goes wrong in your life, just yell ‘PLOT TWIST’ and move on.”

You might not want to yell, but what if you could just sit back when a so-called “problem” arises and respond with, “Hm, interesting this ‘plot twist’ shows up. I wonder what wants to happen with this.”

Sometimes our problems are of a nature that requires us to take practical actions. Most of the time, however, the challenges we experience are with people or situations.

Since “The Secret” and the Esther Hicks “Abraham” teachings, we have all heard so many times that we co-create our reality. We have been told about the Law of Attraction, or the Law of Cause and Effect, as the Science of Mind Philosophy calls it. When something shows up in our experience, we have at some point co-created this. We have said something, felt something or have done something that was part of manifesting this experience.

This has absolutely nothing to do with being blamed for what happens. It is nobody’s ‘fault’. Forget about that concept of fault and blame! It has all to do with realizing that we, now in this very moment, have the choice to create something else. We have the freedom and the ability to respond, the “response-ability” for our thoughts and feelings.
